Kayla Stiles is a nationally certified physician assistant by the NCCPA or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Kayla received her bachelor degree from Wayne State University in 2013, after accepting the Presidential Scholarship to attend. Successively, she attended the University of Findlay and completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

During her undergraduate training at Wayne State University, she was heavily involved in research. As a laboratory research assistant, she investigated the relationship between familial and environmental factors contributing to childhood asthma, along with research studies examining the interactions between health and relationships. Kayla presented at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Projects Conference, where she was awarded the Undergraduate Research and Creative Projects Award for her involvement in these projects.

Kayla received the Richard E. and Jean K. Davis Scholarship Endowment Award at the University of Findlay for her academic achievements and involvement within the physician assistant program. Her clinical training in family practice, internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, pulmonology and evidence based patient care prepared her for the conditions commonly encountered in allergy, asthma, and immunology.

With Dr. Patel’s special expertise and training, Kayla has become proficient in the diagnosis, treatment, and education of pediatric and adult asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), angioedema (swelling), hives (urticaria), sinusitis, eczema, food and drug allergies, immune deficiencies, insect sting sensitivities, anaphylaxis, and allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots).

Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and miniature schnauzer, Muffin, in her spare time, along with traveling and trying new foods.
