Leena Kasmikha, M.S., PA-C, is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the State of Michigan Task Force on Physician Assistants. She is also certified in ACLS/BLS/CPR, SBIRT Core Training, and Point of Care Ultrasound. Leena received her bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with magna cum laude honors and graduated with a Master of Science in physician assistant studies with magna cum laude honors from the University of Detroit Mercy. She has trained extensively in various specialties among both the hospital and clinical settings. Leena is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. She attends various state conferences and participates in several lectures, workshops, meetings, and social and networking events with other physicians and physician assistants throughout the state of Michigan.
Leena’s interest in allergy, asthma, and immunology, combined with Dr. Patel’s comprehensive training has allowed her to effectively diagnose, treat, and educate both adults and children on the various conditions in the field, including, but not limited to, asthma, food and drug allergies, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), angioedema (swelling), hives (urticaria), sinusitis, eczema (atopic dermatitis), immune deficiencies, insect sing sensitivities, anaphylaxis, and allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots).
Leena enjoys spending her free time traveling, running, yoga, kickboxing, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends.
